In September 2026, EcoTrust Roofing & Insulation Ltd replaced the loft insulation in a home in Tingley, Morley, West Yorkshire (WF3). The team removed 18m² of old insulation and laid new Knauf mineral wool to 300mm in half a day.
The problem
The homeowner wanted the old loft insulation replaced. Our surveyor measured 18m² that needed taking out and redoing.
The insulated areas were tight spaces reached through small access hatches, so the old insulation had to come out by hand before new wool could be laid evenly.
What we did
- Free survey: measured 18m² and agreed a written price for removal and 300mm of new Knauf mineral wool.
- Removed and bagged all the old insulation from the 18m² area.
- Cleared the joist bays so the new insulation could sit flat.
- Laid new Knauf mineral wool to 300mm across the full 18m².
- Took all the old insulation away.
The result
All 18m² now has 300mm of new Knauf mineral wool in place of the old insulation. The job was done in half a day.
