The problem
Our surveyor measured 17m² of loft floor with old insulation between the joists and recommended taking it out and starting again rather than topping up.
Laying new rolls over old, slumped insulation can leave gaps and cold spots, so the job was to remove the old material, clear the joists and reinstall to the full 300mm.
