The problem
Our surveyor found 40m² of open cell spray foam in the roof space that needed clearing up, and 25m² of fibreglass on the loft floor that was contaminated and no longer fit to keep.

- Took out the 25m² of contaminated fibreglass from the loft floor.
- Took moisture readings on the roof timbers once they were clear.
- Laid new Knauf mineral wool to 300mm over the 25m² area.
- Bagged all foam and old insulation waste and took it away.
The result
The rafters are now clear of open cell foam and can be inspected, and the 25m² of loft floor has 300mm of new Knauf mineral wool. Everything was done in one day.
